Introducing Teresa Maggard Stephens, PHD, MSN, RN, CNE

Dr. Tese Stephens has more than 30 years of nursing experience in both clinical and educational settings. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University, her Masters of Science in Nursing from King College, a post-master’s certificate in nursing education from the University of Tennessee, and her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the University of Tennessee. She is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and an active member of several professional organizations, including Sigma Theta Tau, NLN, ANA, and SNRS. She serves on the advisory board for the Vantage Point Foundation and is an education consultant for NurseTim, Inc. Currently, she is serving as the faculty consultant for the South Carolina Student Nurses’ Association. She is the author of Stephens’ Model of Resilience and the founder of RN P.R.E.P (Personal Resilience Enhancement Plan)., an interactive learning experience for student nurses and newly licensed professionals. As part of her resilience research, she works closely Holocaust survivors and various Holocaust organizations in the U.S. and Eastern Europe. Dr. Stephens is the author of several publications, book chapters, and is a frequent presenter at regional and national nursing and interprofessional conferences.

Tese lives on the Isle of Palms with her husband, Scott. Her son and daughter-in-law live in Wake Forest, NC.
